The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) is proud to launch the first-ever NAREB Top 100 Awards - a trailblazing recognition platform that celebrates the remarkable achievements of the Top 100 African American real estate professionals across the United States.

It extends an invitation to individuals to join a collaborative endeavor aimed at tackling the Racial Wealth Gap through our comprehensive programming, fostering the growth of black wealth and empowering Black America. Event Details
The NAREB Top 100 Awards signifies our unwavering commitment to diversity, inclusiveness, and empowerment in the realm of real estate. Join us as we embark on this exciting journey, honoring those who have set the bar high in the industry, and inspiring others to do the same. This momentous event will take please during the annual National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) Convention at Hilton American located in Houston, Texas on August 3, 2023 at 6:30pm. The theme is Great Gatsby also known as the Rolling 20's to celebrate the rich history of NAREB.
Award Categories
Top 50 Individuals
- $3M Min production or 20 Units
This category celebrates the outstanding achievements of the top 50 individual Black real estate agents across the country. These are professionals who have excelled in their sales, provided exceptional client service, and contributed significantly to their communities and the industry at large.
Top 20 Teams
- $7M Min in Production or 32 Units
This award recognizes the top 20 Black real estate teams in the United States. These teams have demonstrated superior performance, innovative teamwork, and notable success in the real estate market, setting benchmarks for collective effort and team success.
Top 10 Commercial
- $10M or 20 Units
This award acknowledges the top 10 Black commercial real estate professionals. These individuals have made significant contributions to the commercial real estate sector, showcasing their expertise in sales, leasing, and commercial property management.
Top 20 Loan Officers
- Must be nominated by Realtist Member with a letter of recommendation
- Must be a member to accept the nomination
- LOs must apply based on nomination
This category honors the top 20 African American lenders or loan officers who have exhibited excellence in their role. These professionals have facilitated homeownership for countless individuals and families, displaying proficiency, commitment, and remarkable service in the mortgage industry.
Rookie Of The Year
- Up to 2 years in the industry
- Broker nominated
- Did exceedingly well first year in the business
- Must be a Realtist
This category spotlights an up-and-coming Black Realtist who is making waves in the industry. The Rookie of the year has shown immense potential, dedication, and impressive achievements early in their career, signaling a bright future ahead. Must be nominated by individuals broker and must have been in the business no more than two years.
Realtist Choice Award
- Nominated by a Realtist
- Winners will be announced on the day of the event (August 3, 2023 6:30-9:30PM)
The Realtist Choice Award is a special recognition bestowed upon a real estate professional who has not only achieved remarkable professional success but also won the admiration and respect of their peers – the Realtists. This award highlights an individual whose ethical practices, collaborative spirit, and commitment to the values of NAREB set them apart in the real estate community. The recipient of this award is selected through votes cast by fellow Realists, making it a true reflection of peer recognition and respect within the industry.
Emerging Leaders
An individual that participates in activities, events, programs, and initiatives. Consistently contribute their time, skills, and expertise to further the association’s goals and objectives. They take the initiative to get involved in various committees, task forces, or working groups and show a willingness to go above and beyond their regular responsibilities. A passionate advocate for NAREB’s mission and objectives and actively promotes the association’s values and work towards advancing its goals within the real estate industry and the broader community.
Community Impact
This award celebrates individuals who have made contributions to positively impact their community. If you have worked with community service organizations and/or had a major win related to real estate that helped your community take another step forward this year, then this award is for you!

- Must be in good standing with state commission
